About Dr. Joyce Levitt D.D.S. MScCBT
Dr. Joyce
Levitt graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry
in 1991. Following two years of practice in Toronto she moved to
Scotland.
At
Dundee
Dental Hospital she worked in the Children's Dental Department at
Dundee University teaching clinical skills to dental students. While
there she obtained a
Masters Degree in Cognitive and Behavioural
Psychotherapy. In partnership with a clinical psychologist she
created the only Dental Anxiety Clinic for both children and adults
in the UK. Her research includes "Fear Cognitions in Children and
Adolescents with Dental Phobia".
Today Dr. Levitt owns and operates Mill Ridge Family Dental
Care, a family dentistry clinic in Milton, Ontario. She is also a part-time instructor
in the Faculty of
Dentistry at the University of Toronto, Department of Oral Diagnosis and
Emergency.
